CAREER OPENINGS! Degree helpful but not required.

Heads up! The job market is shrinking but I've uncovered a gem of a job that many have the experience and skills to fit right in. Of course a sheep-skin (degree) can propel a person to the top of the list but in this case, I do not believe it's a trump card.

Although I am perfectly content with my present employment, over the last few days I've been kicking myself for being closed minded. When I thought about it, this opportunity was present in my early years.

I remember the first time I ventured into a quest to find my first real job. I was dressed sharp. I had a brief case in my hand with a sheep-skin inside. I knew I was qualified for the job, yet I was met with the usual skepticism Well, I am a black man in America.

This is not a story of woe-is-me. This is a story of finding what I was not looking for.

Job Title: ??????????

Qualifications: We are looking for a person that knows no sorrow. They must be careless, callous, indifferent and never broken up or softened by conviction or sorrow for wrong doing. They must hate knowledge and resist instruction. They must despise wisdom. A closed mind is helpful.

Added plus: Deficient in judgement, sense, or understanding. Easily deceived or duped. Willingly engages in buffoonery and trifling activity.

I believe I've said enough. That job apparently pays well. Even though the title may be vague, people are lining up to fill all the vacant positions. Yet, come to think of it, the title isn't vague. Maybe it depends on what a person is looking for.

What's the title job title? What kind of person are they looking for? He's not an Engineer, he is a.........

Oh, btw, I didn't accept that job. However, at times I have used a few of the aforementioned qualification. I think it's a safe bet that we all have.

Loved "Of course a sheep-skin can peopel a person to the top of the list"

I've never applied for any of these positions myself. But considering there were many people working these exact same jobs everywhere I ever worked it is safe to say that there may always be a few positions open.

Also loved the job description btw. {still laughing}

Loved the job description. Prime reason why I'm working towards becoming an entrepenuer. I hate working for ppl.

@ everyone, what is the title of the person in red? Here's a hint: If you read the comment from Nicky, and then move to the man in red, you might come to a conclusion.

Hint 2) Maybe you can't see him because.....

hint 3) this is not an accupation, it's a person

CareyCarey said...

Don't make me call Freeman up in here. Alright, I am giving up the ship. What are the characteristics of the man in red? What if I edited the post and did this.... "sign"?

Solomon said...

I say the final Jepordy answer is "Who is a playa, a pimp, or a thug!"

CareyCarey said...

Solomon, you have lost your damn mind :-). How in hell did you come to that conclusion

You sit back and read it 100 more times. But wait, before you attempt another guess. I say "guess" because the answer is right there and this is not a game.

I'm going with most BLOGGERS you read! A lot of blogs I read say they are open for debate but really they aren't. They get caught up in fighting for fighting sake instead of what they say they want to do.

I myself fall into that but I can corrected without my EGO breaking! So I could be wrong but most of your Bloggers who say they are here to have a debate so a solution may be brought out seem to be arguing a closed minded point of view.

It's like a sunny winter day. It's still 30 degrees but it doesn't look that bad because of the way it looks outside!

CareyCarey said...

Okay, maybe my post wasn't very specific and that was my intent. But the answer is right there, and I'll tell you why.

Although those individuals you guys have choosen, all exhibit the qualities of the red man, he's straight out of the dictionary.

Therefore, all of you are close but no cigar.

The title of the person in Red is Engineer?

CareyCarey said...

Freeman, could an engineer keep his job if he fit all the "qualification"? This person fits ALL the qualifications. If I looked up the word engineer, it wouldn't fit the red man.

Sounds like you lost a lot of folks on this blog..haha! :P

CareyCarey said...

You're right TeeTee, I might have to give up the ghost. But man, I've presented this piece for others and they immediately replied with the correct answer.

"We are looking for a person that knows no sorrow. Willingly engages in buffoonery and trifling activity"

What if I said this person (above) displays the characterics of a ...

Remember, it's right from the dictionary.

ALSO

Remember, if ya can't see it, ya might be in it. *hint*

Carey/Carey, love how you cleverly put this...that description was too funny.

Who's in red - idk - perhaps an AZZHOLE!

CareyCarey said...

OuuuuuuWeeeeee Miz, you are VERY Close. I think it's on the tip of your tongue.

Now, the only problwm with your answer is that, if you went to the dictionary and looked at the word "asshole" (although close) it would not have the description of my man.

But Miz, I knew you would dig deep. To be honest, an AZZhole is also "this"or can be this, but not by definition.

Hint: what else might you call an azzhole?

yeah thanks, I thought it was pretty clever. I was surprised that some people thought it was actually a job. I did go for for a job, but not "this" one. AND that's why I couldn't accept it.

Now I know I''ve given away too much.

Okay, last hint: What is the picture?

Mizrepresent said...

I can't see the picture. How about a Sociopath?

CareyCarey said...

"Willingly engages in buffoonery and trifling activity"

Again Miz, you are close but the above description disqualifies the Sociopath. Although a psychopath exhibits antisocial behavior, he is not easily decieved or duped. Another name for a psychopath is "crazy mfer" *lol*.

Ditto - Sociopath.

The Devil? Hahahahaha!

The Devil's known for his fine red suit and pitchfork!

RiPPa said...

you lost me on this.

FreeMan said...

Ok my final answer is the President! Otherwise man it's like one of those pictures where you have to see past what's presented that I can never get. Ok 2 days is enough don't you think? LOL

CareyCarey said...

WELL WELL WELL

The Devil is a lier.

***Drum Roll***

The picture is that of a ship.

****More Drum Roll****

Yes, it's a ship of fools!!!

The person I've been looking for is a FOOL!

Look it up.

Ut oh! Now what do you fools have to say for yourselves *LOL*. As you know, a fool can't see himself in a mirror.

If you don't believe me, LOOK IT UP. LMBAO

In passing, as you all know racism is alive and well. When I went to that interview they talked to me like I was a goddamn fool. Oh yeah, they wanted me for the job, but they wanted a special kind of fool. FOR REAL! They told me that I was dressed real good. Then they preceded to tell me a joke.... "How did the negro spell Cadillac? P O N T I A C .. Po' ol'nigga thought it a Cadilac".

If that wasn't enough, they asked if I could dance like James Brown. I guess they were looking for their buffoon. THEN, they told me that I might have to "fib" a little - in this job. That's the moral decay and lack of good judgement that in the heart of a fool. Yes sir, they wanted this man to be easily decieved or duped. They were looking for their special kind of fool.... a real black huckleberry.

Now, I don't know if this was a foolish move, but I told them to kiss my black ass. That wasn't all I told them but I am trying to keep this PG. But what I told them had something to do with my dick. LOL

MAN! You know I ain't the abstract thinker. I thought that picture was golden turtle swimming in sewer water. I didn't know what that picture was I thought you just threw something up there and said this will throw them off.

Your experience is usually the angle they come at you with on telemarketing jobs except all the racist stuff. Sometimes I thank God I was born in Compton, we don't have people talking out of pocket out here without their gun showing!

CareyCarey said...

FreeMan, I actually googled "fool" and that popped up as a "ship of fools".

I was going to use that dunce cap thang. The one with the 4 pointed thangs.

Re: Compton

That experience was back in the day. I was actually considering going to college in Compton (nieve midwesterner), but they turned me down.

But today, it don't matter! A gun has no home.

FreeMan said...

You would've been alright. Most of the Black people out here family is from the South so we would've thought you were from Memphis or something.

That was actually difficult to gather but it's funny to see people come up with other names than just a fool. I was all in with President George Bush bcuz all the characteristics seem to fit him to the T. SO I guess he is the definition of a fool too!

CareyCarey said...

"so we would've thought you were from Memphis or something"

There you go with that shit. *lol*
Like I told RiPPa, don't make me cut you.

" I was all in with President George Bush bcuz all the characteristics seem to fit him to the T. SO I guess he is the definition of a fool too!"

Yep, but one thing about a full time fool. You can best him half to death, and he'll still be a fool. Although Bush harbored many of the characteristics of a fool, he WAS cunning. Some he was simply a part time fool. Hence, he's outta there.

Miz was actually real close with AZZhole. But again, an asshole knows he's an asshole. He'll seek knowledge to continue his usuper ways. He's more like a prick. Hence, He's outta there.

Is the devil a fool? NOPE, he's cunning, baffling and powerful.

"That was actually difficult to gather but it's funny to see people come up with other names than just a fool"

I got the idea from Jeopardy. Every time they used the phrase "this man", I thought they was refering to a surname/person.

So I paid forward my frustrations.
