This is one of my faves too... and the live version is even hotter.

Yeah, I know the version you're talking about.

That whole CD takes me somewhere. And, you really have to listen to them on a good system. What I did like about this version was the added organ. Have you heard anything about the lead singer? I heard she sang backup (and a little lead) on Jamie Fox's last release.

I love the live instrumentation!!! The organ brings a life of its own.

Marsha Ambrosius has done some solo work however, for me, I find her work with Floetry is her best.

You can check out some of it here:

Hey Diane,

Yeah, I can't even describe the mood, but it sure feels good!

I followed MsKnowitAll's link, and the woman can still blow. However, I have to agree with MsKnow, Floetry was the shi*. Don't get me wrong, the girl still has a voice, but I don't think she has the same people behind her, of something. I think she needs the right song. I mean, I don't know if she can find her audience?

If you go over to the link, check out the song she wrote for Michael Jackson, it was okay, but imo, something was missing.

Damn!!! She kills it on this one!! Listen to her voice. The song is so touching. And, the poetic narration is just marvelous.

Hey Carey,

Great taste, my brotha!

Saw them perform this joint LIVE @ Radio City in 2002. They were the opening act for india.arie. Floetry tore it up! Left some serious goosebumps on my skin, man. The combo of their talents was beyond tight, & yet Marsha (the songstress) blew me away w/ her soulful & soul-soaring ad-libs! Felt like blue lights in the basement accompanied by a serious slow-drag memory wrapped inside a kiss.

Highly digable sonic bliss!

One.
